REVD JULIA FOSTER - Julia has now completed her four years of initial ministerial training, and so we would like to celebrate this stage in her ministry here with a ceremony at the 9.30 service today, and following the service to share a glass of wine and some refreshments in the Hall. If you would like to contribute towards a gift for Julia to mark the occasion please give your donation to either Pam Morffew or to Peter. We’ll now be referring to Julia as “Assistant Priest” rather than the former title of “Curate” which describes a training appointment.

ALL SAINTS BOOKSTALL We have now started, for an experimental period, an All Saints Bookstall in the lobby, selling paperbacks at 50p each, with an 'honesty jar' for donations. All proceeds will go to the All Saints Community Building Fund. If you have any paperbacks in good condition, which you would wish to donate, please leave them in a carrier bag at the back of the church, for Jeff Watkin to collect.

SILVER SURFERS – (All Saints) Are now taking a break until . Wednesday 8th September. However, the really good news is that we have been awarded a grant from Grassroots – Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation. This will enable us to purchase a few laptops. The aim is that following the Wednesday morning sessions the laptops can be loaned out to those who do not have their own computer so they can practise at home. So if you would like to join the group in September or know of someone who would please telephone the office (02380 737617).

THE PARISH MAGAZINE FOR CHILWORTH AND NORTH BADDESLEY - please collect from church if you haven't already done so – Annual subscriptions are now due. AN NEW INITIATIVE WHICH HAS BEEN APPROVED BY NORTH BADDESLEY PCC - It was agreed, that a box will be placed at the back of the Church, specifically for the collection of food items which will be given to the organisation SCRATCH. Tinned and packets of food items will be gratefully received.
